The theme I opted for in this first issue was color overlapping with a style that's not quite minimalism but leaning towards that cleaner aesthetic offered by home and furniture catalogs. To pull away from the average home catalog I went for brighter colors to also draw in that younger demographic. The color overlapping emphasizes the practical use of space often found in these smaller homes.

This short film poster design was for a short film titled “A Tale of Blood and Magic”. The final deliverables included 3 full size posters and 6 Instagram post boxes, featuring the posters broken down into one box for the image and the second box for the informational text for each. The posters are meant to be displayed together or separately. When together the posters show the unity of the brothers from the film and when separate, they work on their own without loosing meaning.

For the “Solve and Sip Murder Mystery” event, I aimed for a mysterious yet social vibe. For the type-only poster, I used a more minimal, large-serif type to reference a novel which was more of an appeal to the target audience of Facebook wine moms. For the type and image poster, I based it on a serial killer board but abstracted it to emphasize a puzzle-solving aesthetic while including an optical illusion.
